Story Time-094307
My photography group had a challenge called Story Time where we had to include a story about the photo. The story did not have to be true and mine certainly wasn't. Here's my story:
On Monday I was contacted by a group promoting the arts in Texas about providing photos for an exhibit at DFW Airport celebrating marching band. They saw my photos from last week at AT&T Stadium and they were impressed. They offered me $10,000. I said, "sure, since it's for a good cause." My one condition was the exhibit needed to be installed by Wednesday morning so I could see it before I flew home. They said, no problem. I wasn't sure what to expect. I thought it was going to be one little corner with a few pictures. Turns out, there were marching band photos everywhere. Some were posters. Some were framed. Some were on video screens. I wandered around Terminal C with my cell phone taking photos of the exhibit. I felt like I looked suspicious taking photos. The airport is the last place you want to look suspicious. But no one bothered me or even gave me a second look as I continued to take photos. I'm pretty sure I didn't find them all and I think they might add more, so if anyone goes through DFW the rest of this month and sees marching band photos, be sure to snap a picture and send it to me.
