011-It's Alive! Vampires inhabit Cumberland Cemetery

One of my photography challenge themes was It's Alive and I wanted to do something colorguard related. I came up with the idea of putting the AMP vampires in a shot from Cumberland Cemetery in Lima PA. I contacted the cemetery to get permission to shoot there and they agreed. I wasn't sure exactly how this was going to come out or what background shots I would need, I took dozens of photos. Near the end of the cemetery road I came upon this area and liked the arrangement of items. Once I pulled it into Photoshop and started adding a couple of characters, I kept wanting to do more. I kept going back to my AMP photos and finding more photos that would work. The dirt was from a grave that was going to be used on Friday. The monument on the right replaced a much less interesting - and out of focus - structure. Lots of cloning, masking and layers involved. When I was almost done, I thought it needed a flower. I found a rose photo from a show by Main Line Independent.
