While in Texas visiting clients in early June, I had to come up with a photo for a challenge topic Bubbles. Frequently I've felt out of my bubble geographically, politically, theologically and socially in Texas, so this seemed like the right place to be. I thought about trying to capture that sense of bubble but opted for a more literal interpretation. This was taken at Pedernales River Nature Park in Johnson City TX where I stopped for a night between client visits in Marble Falls and San Antonio. I decided at the last minute to go out for some early morning golden hour photography and I was glad I did. The dam and bubbling water in the early morning sunlight provided a great photo opportunity. Just 10 minutes after I finished the sun was blocked by clouds and the golden drama was over. Timing is everything in photography.
