I went over to Longwood Gardens looking for anything crooked for my photography challenge. I didn't bring a tripod but was looking for surfaces on which to place and stabilze my camera for long exposures (usually just the ground) or just taking high ISO handheld shots. I had two lenses. The fisheye used for this shot and my Sigma 70-200 which I've owned for 11 years but only just discovered is a macro lens. I never use that lens myself anymore but periodically lend it to friends. I had plans to sell it, but that fell through so I thought I'd bring it along and remind myself how it performs. I don't usually use a 70-200 as a walkaround lens but it did well, though the macro feature was a little disappointing. I also rarely take the fisheye with me and found that to be more fun, particularly since it makes brilliant stars. The last time I took it out was last December for another critique group challenge. I should use it more. This crooked path shot was taken with the camera placed on the railing. The crooked lines in the railing were an unexpected benefit as it was too dark for me to notice them until I looked at the shot.
