This photo was used in my photography challenge for the theme Cracked, which was Week 3. The glass top on our washing machine lid spontaneously cracked big time. When the challenge came the following morning, I thought I'd have to find a way to make use of that fortuitous event. I had an indoor guard show that Sunday, so on Monday I took a bunch of shots of the cracked glass before we covered it all up with duct tape. The subject shot is from Avon Grove colorguard, the host of the event. Their show is called Psychedelic and features 1960s songs like White Rabbit. I took the glass texture, put a gradient behind it, added some clouds on the bottom and lowered the opacity on the subject to blend her into the image.
