Media PA 9/12/2013 - The weather forecast kept getting better as the day went along. Game time was supposed to be free of rain and wasn't supposed to arrive until after 10pm. As the band was just finishing up on the practice field, rain began to fall heavily. I tried to help with the pit equipment, while keeping tight hold on my backpack containing my D7100, D600 and a bunch of lenses. We were soaked by the time we got to the band room where we found out there was going to be a 20 minute delay to the start of the game. Shortly after the rain stopped.

Other than a few sprinkles, the first two quarters went smoothly. The band played to an appreciative crowd. PenncrestBand plays a "stands tune"

Half time came and both Conestoga and Penncrest performed their shows. Conestoga donned their raincoats, but Penncrest was in full uniform. As the third quarter was nearly over, suddenly the Conestoga football team ran off the field. We were then informed there was a lightning delay. This meant a mandatory 30 minutes. The game finally resumed and Penncrest was victorious. By the time we got home it was well after 11pm. That wouldn't be so bad if the game weren't on a Thursday night.
